Flashback to 1976: John Palumbo, fueled by inspiration for his upcoming solo album Innocent Bystander, laid down raw demos of potential tracks with just his piano and vocal. Two of these gems were re-recorded with a full band and made it onto the final 1978 release, but the remaining three remained hidden in the vaults, unheard for nearly half a century.
Fast forward to present day: The magic of those demo recordings has been rediscovered! Crack The Sky didn’t just dust them off – they took these unearthed treasures and built a whole new sonic world around them.
The Baker Files is a historic release, bringing you the best of both worlds:
Two classic tracks from John’s solo LP completely reimagined and “Crackified” – the only familiar elements are the original piano and vocals. Prepare to be blown away by a whole new dimension of John’s cleverly conceived songs.
Three brand new (to the world) songs finally see the light of day, meticulously restored and infused with Crack The Sky’s signature sound.
