In 1975, Crack The Sky burst onto the music scene with their landmark eponymous album, hailed by Rolling Stone magazine as the “debut album of the year.” On three special nights in March of 2025, Crack The Sky revisited the entire debut album, in original program order, as a featured segment of their Golden 50th Anniversary Tour. Digital recorders captured their stellar performances from 4 out of 5 original band members, which featured all of the flavor and feel of that iconic 1975 recording, with a tightness and level of energy reminiscent of those halcyon days.
Tracks:
1. Hold On / Surf City
2. Sea Epic
3. She’s A Dancer
4. Robots For Ronnie
5. Ice
6. Mind Baby
7. I Don’t Have A Tie
8. Sleep
Get ready to experience a rock milestone! This past March, progressive rock legends Crack The Sky blew the roof off with a series of sold-out shows celebrating an incredible fifty years of music. For these special nights, the band resurrected their iconic, self-titled debut album—the very same one Rolling Stone magazine hailed as the “debut album of the year”—performing it live in its entirety and in the original track order that first captivated the world.
Now, the energy and electricity of that historic performance have been captured. A brand-new live CD of “Crack The Sky” is set to be unleashed on Friday, June 20, 2025.

This isn’t just a reissue; it’s a sonic testament to a half-century of rock and roll defiance. The album will be available for streaming everywhere you get your music and for order through the official Crack The Sky web store.

Catch the legends live on the album’s official release day! The new CD will make its debut at the merch stand during their show on June 20th at Hub City Vinyl in Hagerstown, MD. See the concert and be one of the first to grab a physical copy right there. Tickets are still available, but they won’t last long!
Can’t wait? The album is available for pre-release digital download right now! Don’t miss your chance to own a piece of rock history from a band that continues to electrify audiences fifty years on.

Crack The Sky is pleased to announce the release of a CD of those performances, which can be yours to enjoy forever. The official release date for the CD is June 20, 2025, but you can purchase an early pre-release download here exclusively on our store. The physical CD of the album and streaming services (Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, etc.) will begin on June 20th.
This year it almost didn’t happen. Earlier this year, the Heritage Association of Greater Dundalk announced that the annual event for 2025 would be canceled. Because of public outcry and rallying to save the fair, the community rallied, and the Dundalk Heritage Fair has been restored.

Crack The Sky will be returning to headline the Shipway Stage at 8 p.m. on Sunday, July 6th, at the culmination of the landmark event. Attendance at the concert is included in the fair’s admission price.
